Building Envelope Specialist

The Shell

One of the main functions of a building is to provide shelter to human beings so they can carry out their daily activities. The element of the building that delimits the inner space of a building is the ‘building envelope’. It can be described in general terms as a protective barrier surrounding the inner spaces. The envelope is in fact like the skin of a building with the structure being the skeleton.

The envelope of a building acts as a separation of various environments creating a sort of a partition between the inner and outer spaces so that interior conditions can be controlled and maintained. To achieve this, different materials are required.

Steel Siding

Steel is a material that is exceptionally durable, yet has the versatility to fulfill the most original and innovative designs.

Steel is an incombustible, recyclable and strong material that is weatherproof.

The large variety of claddings, paint systems and colours makes it possible to use it for all sorts of architectural styles and sheet steel can also be integrated with other building materials resulting in unique concepts. Sheet steel is durable and inexpensive and can be adapted whatever the thickness of the heat insolation materials without affecting the integrity of the envelope.

Insulated Metal Panels

Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) are gaining in popularity in the industry for many reasons, particularly for their higher insulating properties (R-value), their unrivaled thermal insulation performance and their speedy installation. Designed for a range of creative options for walls and roofs, these panels are made of polyisocyanurate foam sandwiched between prefinished sheet steel exterior and interior sheets. The combination of polyurethane foam and steel facings results in a light, attractive, and easy-to-install structural panels with exceptional insulating characteristics.

The IMP’s are not only contributing to the construction of durable and eco-friendly buildings, they give life to your most creative ambitions.

We install this type of panels in all areas of the province as you can see in the completed projects.

Aluminum and composite panels

The versatility of aluminum panels and cladding allows architects to give way to their creativity for unique looks and designs. The materials are available in a wide range of colours and finishes.

  • The products enjoy a significant lifetime due to the noble materials used.
  • Easy to install, the wall aluminum cladding can greatly facilitate the construction.
  • Rough Canadian climate has no impact on the beauty, the structure or the lifetime of these products.
  • Aluminum composite panels are precast and made of a polyethylene layer sandwiched between two sheets of aluminum.
We invite you to look at our projects as many of them have been rewarded in various contests

Ventilated Facades

The underlying concept of the ventilated facade is based on a system of two separated panels with air in between. The supporting metal structure is anchored to the wall using fixing brackets that allow the assembly of separate layers such as an exterior wall and an insulation material in order to leave an empty or air space in the middle.

We have contributed to the development of this type of product in the province as seen in our projects.

Ceramic Panels

Ceramic panels come in an almost infinite variety of tones, patterns and surface finishes that can be combined to give designers even more creative freedom. A complete range of materials is available to professionals. The versatility of the fastening systems gives even more flexibility in choosing the final result.

Our partnerships with international suppliers give us a leadership position in the installation of these products.

Membranes

The membranes are an integral part of the envelope with the job to control the water, the air, the vapour diffusion, the noise, the fire, the light and the radiations.

Vapour barrier (water vapour non-permeable membrane): element designed and installed in a wall assembly to prevent or delay water migration by vapour diffusion.

Air barrier (water vapour permeable membrane): component of a wall assembly installed to resist efficiently to air leaks through the building envelope.

Building envelope is our specialty.

Insulation

Thermal insulation of a building consists in creating an envelope around the construction to ensure a comfortable temperature to occupants without using lots of energy. This technique must protect them from the cold of winter and maintain cool temperatures during the summer. We install both mineral insulating materials and synthetic materials with our partners.

Do not hesitate to consult us for your insulating material.

Blinds, doors and windows

With the help of our partners, we challenge traditional practices and conventions without compromising performance. Whether you want your shutters to be a major design element or to simply disappear within the building’s facade, we can install them according to your specifications.

Be creative and add shutters to your projects.
